2. Joshua Tree
Joshua Tree National Park is known for it’s signature yucca trees, cactus garden, unique rock formations and gorgeous skies. You can rough it in one of the campsites in the park, or opt to stay in a nearby airbnb.
3. Havasu Falls
If you really want to go off the grid, take a backpacking trip to Havasu Falls. The 10 mile trek will lead you to a series of waterfalls and the most beautiful turquoise water you’ve ever seen. Make sure to get a permit ahead of time!
4. Red Rock
Under 30 minutes from Vegas, Red Rock is super easy to get to from Vegas. The 13 mile, one way drive scenic loop will pass by many rock formations and various trail heads, great for day hiking. Red Rock is also a favorite for rock climbers.
5. The Grand Canyon
The Grand Canyon is considered the 8th wonder of the world and is the perfect day trip from Vegas. Take a walk on the famous skywalk, enjoy a horseback ride, raft down the river, or indulge in a helicopter ride…the options are endless.
