One of the world’s most beautiful National Parks is located right in our backyard! More than 5 million people visit Yosemite each year, the majority of them spending all of their time in Yosemite Valley. The valley is a spectacular sight to see, but the park as a whole is 1,189 square miles! There is so much to explore and discover year round. We want to share with you some of our favorite Yosemite spots and hope to continually add to this list as we check more off our Yosemite bucket list!
The Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe Getaway
There is something about a stay at The Ritz Carlton that is always a bit magical. Add a coating of snow and a cozy fireplace and you’ll never want to leave. Their Lake Tahoe location is truly a vacation destination in itself. Perched upon a ski hill there are plenty of experiences right at your doorstep. Adventure and luxury are two of our favorite things. They don’t always mix, but The Ritz somehow always delivers.

We are so lucky to have a world renowned wine region right in our backyard. Napa Valley is 30 miles long, by 5 miles across (at the widest point). The valley is comprised of a variety of soil types and climates, which make it ideal for winemaking. Napa is the valley’s largest city, but along the 30 miles are plenty of smaller towns, each with their own unique characteristics and charm.

Central Coast Road Tripping
Road trip! Lucky for us, we live in California where the options are endless and the coastal views are a dream. We heard a new Airstream camp, Caravan Outpost opened in Ojai and since we had never been there, our destination was set! We took off from the South Bay and drove along Scenic Highway 1 to enjoy some sights in Big Sur. After a couple of restful nights at Rosehaven Cabins we continued down through San Luis Obispo and made a few more stops along the way before hitting our final destination.

Once and awhile we do leave the Bay Area! Our recent travel adventures brought us to New Zealand and Australia. We absolutely loved New Zealand, with stunning views wherever you look. It’s the perfect place for outdoor adventurers and thrill seekers.
Just a short plane ride away, we hitched a ride to Melbourne and explored the city before heading to Cairns and Port Douglas. Feeding kangaroos, and snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef…we checked off quite a few things off our bucket list!
