If you like food you’ve probably noticed the delicious trend of Hot Chicken Sandwiches this past year. We wanted to put together a list of all the places we’ve tried (and counting!) so you can try them too!

Chickenbros

Chick N’ Bro is heating it up with their delicious spicy chicken sandwiches from their food truck. Their chicken is tender and juicy and we love the bit of added honey paired with the spice. They do take their spice seriously, so a word to the wise, don’t order hotter than you can handle 😅. Check out our Reels for a video of our experience!

Scratch SJ

Scratch Cookery makes ginormous, fiery Nashville hot chicken sandwiches. They started off as a food truck, but since covid, they’ve been doing take out orders at Original Gravity Public House. Even more exciting, a brick and mortar is coming early 2021.

Proposition Chicken

Prop Chicken is your place for all things chicken. We love their fried and flipped chicken and if you don’t like meat they even have a fake (tofu) option. Eat it as a salad, sandwich or entree! @eatpropchicken now has locations in San Francisco, Menlo Park, Lafayette, Oakland and San Jose. Which style chicken would you order?

Rocket Bird

Rocket Bird is a new SF-based chicken sandwich concept focuses on quality ingredients and good taste. The menu features delicious fried chicken sandwiches and strips, healthy salads, malted fries, and a ‘Lil Bird meal for the kiddos. Rocketbird chickens are organic, vegetarian-fed, free-roaming birds raised without hormones or antibiotics and also have a variety of vegan and vegetarian sides. They only use recyclable and compostable packaging and for every sandwich purchased, Rocketbird donates a meal to @sfmfoodbank to support a family in need.

Curry Up Now

Curry Up Now new Tandoori Fried Chicken Sandwich that just launched! Their menu consists of delicious fusion Indian street food and creative Indian eats. This sandwich is made with 48 hour-marinated chicken that’s fried to crispy perfection. It is topped with bombay dust aioli, house made pickled onions, and a chutney of pineapple, jalapeño and curry leaves set between a brioche bun. Order to go or enjoy on their now open patios!

Love Burn

Love Burn Chicken knows what they are doing when it comes to a hot chicken sandwich. They are a Filipino-owned, local spot slinging Nashville Hot Chicken with its own international spice blend twist. They use a hefty HALF POUND of chicken thigh (all about the dark meat) in every chicken sandwich and hot leg quarters that come in your choice of 5 different spice levels. Don’t skip out of their crispy fries that are seasoned with ramen-flavored spices and cinnamon or chocolate churros for the finisher. Also their spice level system portrays the heat of love perfectly:
