Springtime in Vancouver & Victoria

For spring break this year we decided to take a family trip to Canada. We were looking for a destination that would have fair weather and where we could do a mix of outdoor and city activities. The flight from SFO to Vancouver is just under 2.5 hours making it an easy destination to travel to with our kiddos, plus it’s in the same time zone. We began our trip in Vancouver where we stayed for a few nights. After that we made our way to Victoria for 2 nights. Traveling with 2 little ones (3 & 5 years old) we tried to keep the itinerary flexible with plenty of wiggle room for rest and play. Since the weather was a little rainy we found some indoor activities to enjoy that we had not planned for and hope to go back again to enjoy some outdoor things that we missed.

Family Ski Trip to Banff and Lake Louise

We visited Banff National Park in Canada a couple of summers ago and fell in love with the nature and landscape. Being avid skiers, we knew we had to make a trip back to experience their amazing ski terrain and to see the park in the wintertime.

The Great Canadian Rockies

For an easy, adventurous and outdoorsy international jaunt, consider a plane ticket to Calgary. Calgary is the gateway to Banff and Jasper: two of Canada’s most awe-inspiring National Parks. From SFO you can hop on a non-stop flight to Calgary, which is surprisingly only 2 hours and 45 minutes away! Enjoy a night or two in the city then get the show on the road and see some of the most beautiful natural sights you’ve ever laid eyes on.
