Tahoe North Summer Family Adventure

North Tahoe is perfect for a summer family vacation and gives you the chance to experience the mountains throughout the region. The crowds are far less than during the winter and it’s great to get up high in the mountains when it’s warm out and the sun is shining. We’ve visited Tahoe plenty of times before, but this was our first vacation with the little ones in tow, so it was a special and new experience. We’ve outlined our itinerary, which was a little slower paced to accommodate nap time and feedings, but also offered just the right amount of fresh air and picturesque views that we crave.

Raised Real: Organic Baby Meals Review

After months of only milk, solid foods are definitely a game changer. One more thing for busy moms and dads to worry about! Per our pediatrician’s recommendation, we slowly introduced baby Nora to a new food every couple of days to make sure she had no allergic reaction. We started with sweet potatoes, avocado, broccoli and then introduced fruits, dairy and nuts. I would go to the store, buy the organic fruits and veggies, chop them, steam them, and then puree. Although it is exciting to introduce your baby to new foods, it is a lot more work than just nursing or bottle feeding.

Baby Nora’s First Trip to Maui

After a few months postpartum, I was starting to get antsy to travel again. With no upcoming tips planned (a rarity for me), an amazing airline deal to Maui appeared! On a whim my mom and I booked my baby’s first airline trip! Even more amazing, babies under two fly free (on your lap) on all airlines. I knew traveling with a baby would be a big adjustment and challenging, but it was certainly worth it. She loved seeing new sights and swimming for the first time. New experiences for the baby and a travel adventure for me!

SNOO Smart Sleeper Bassinet by Happiest Baby Review

Three months ago, my husband and I welcomed a tiny bundle of joy into our lives. This tiny human would change our lives forever! As first time parents, we got tons of wanted and unwanted advice from others and were bombarded with information on which baby products we needed and which were useless. Now that some time has passed, we get the common question, “What is the hardest thing about being a parent so far?”. For me, especially in the early weeks, it’s simply never getting a full nights sleep.

A Mix of Fun and Relaxation in Arizona

Arizona has been on our list of places to go for some time. We love the outdoors and Sedona and Scottsdale are also chock full of wonderful spas and luxurious hotels, so it’s the perfect mix of outdoors and relaxation. In the summertime, Arizona can get pretty hot, so my recommendation is to visit in the Fall. The days are still warm and evenings are comfortably cool.

Traditional Northern Style Vietnamese Cuisine at Pho Ha Noi San Jose

This is not your typical Vietnamese restaurant. Located in San Jose’s Vietnam Town, Pho Ha Noi is discreetly tucked away in the back corner of the plaza, but should not be overlooked. The restaurant is bright, clean, and airy with a gorgeous painted mural that graces the back wall. The ambience invites you to take your time, enjoy your meal and stay awhile. They even have a happy hour (Monday – Thursday, 5pm-11pm) and an excellent wine list curated by Vintage Wine Bar and Wine Merchants on Santana Row.

A Weekend Getaway to Goleta, California

We recently had the pleasure of visiting the seaside town of Goleta. It’s an easy drive from the Bay Area, perfect for a weekend getaway. Located minutes from Santa Barbara, it has it has a charm and laid back vibe all it’s own. Goleta is famous for it’s lemon orchards and roots in the agriculture…

The Great Canadian Rockies

For an easy, adventurous and outdoorsy international jaunt, consider a plane ticket to Calgary. Calgary is the gateway to Banff and Jasper: two of Canada’s most awe-inspiring National Parks. From SFO you can hop on a non-stop flight to Calgary, which is surprisingly only 2 hours and 45 minutes away! Enjoy a night or two in the city then get the show on the road and see some of the most beautiful natural sights you’ve ever laid eyes on.

Exploring Seattle & Orcas Island

When it heats up in the Bay, we all need a cool escape. Seattle is an easy and inexpensive destination from San Francisco, San Jose, or Oakland airports. In just two hours you can find yourself in the refreshing Pacific Northwest.
