Palm Springs Guide

We had the chance to spend a few days Palm Springs and got the opportunity to really explore and discover this vibrant and unique city. Located in the middle of a dessert valley area, the temperatures can soar to the 90s and 100s during the day(higher in the summer) and cool down for a chilly night once the sun sets. Palm Springs is popular for their unique architecture and vibes that can’t be found anywhere else. Pair that with great food choices and lots of fun activities to do and you’ll find yourself coming back for more. Read below for some of the places we checked out this time around!

The National Parks of California

California is the most beautiful state in the USA (totally bias here!) and is filled with plenty of National Parks. We love the outdoors and wanted to share a short introduction to each park and our experiences at each one. Hopefully these will inspire you to visit one or more!

Yosemite Guide

One of the world’s most beautiful National Parks is located right in our backyard! More than 5 million people visit Yosemite each year, the majority of them spending all of their time in Yosemite Valley. The valley is a spectacular sight to see, but the park as a whole is 1,189 square miles! There is so much to explore and discover year round. We want to share with you some of our favorite Yosemite spots and hope to continually add to this list as we check more off our Yosemite bucket list!

The Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe Getaway

There is something about a stay at The Ritz Carlton that is always a bit magical. Add a coating of snow and a cozy fireplace and you’ll never want to leave. Their Lake Tahoe location is truly a vacation destination in itself. Perched upon a ski hill there are plenty of experiences right at your doorstep. Adventure and luxury are two of our favorite things. They don’t always mix, but The Ritz somehow always delivers.

Napa Valley Wine Lovers Getaway Guide

We are so lucky to have a world renowned wine region right in our backyard. Napa Valley is 30 miles long, by 5 miles across (at the widest point). The valley is comprised of a variety of soil types and climates, which make it ideal for winemaking. Napa is the valley’s largest city, but along the 30 miles are plenty of smaller towns, each with their own unique characteristics and charm.

Central Coast Road Tripping

Road trip! Lucky for us, we live in California where the options are endless and the coastal views are a dream. We heard a new Airstream camp, Caravan Outpost opened in Ojai and since we had never been there, our destination was set! We took off from the South Bay and drove along Scenic Highway 1 to enjoy some sights in Big Sur. After a couple of restful nights at Rosehaven Cabins we continued down through San Luis Obispo and made a few more stops along the way before hitting our final destination.

8 Reasons We Love Squaw Valley in the Winter

When it comes to powder skiing, nowhere in Tahoe has quite the same terrain. After a snow storm you’ll find pockets of powder all over the mountain and in between the trees.

Santa Cruz Weekend Fun Guide

Santa Cruz, CA is a world famous destination known for it’s for great beaches and a casual surf town atmosphere. It’s only a short drive from most of the Bay Area, making it a perfect weekend getaway or even a day trip. Most of us who live in the Bay Area have already been to Santa Cruz on a few occasions and most likely know about the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, UC Santa Cruz, and some of the more popular beaches. We wanted to make a list of a few places that may not be as well known, but are just as wonderful!
